Transparency is a necessity to a project like this. As such, we believe in the importance of detailing how Species.bio revenues are to be split between the various stakeholders.

Bio Fund: The Bio Fund will be the beneficiary of 50% of gross revenues generated by the primary and secondary sales of the Bioworks, and will be donated in its entirety to conservationist causes on an annual basis:

  • Half of the Bio Fund will be donated to Species.bio beneficiaries who we have agreed to support, including WWF-UK, the IUCN Species Survival Commission and the International Rhino Foundation.

  • The other half of the Bio Fund will be distributed to a series of conversationist causes that the Biowork holders will nominate and vote upon each year.

Biowork Artists: The artists will be the beneficiaries of 40% of the gross revenues generated by the primary and secondary sales of the Bioworks for which they create artwork, for a period of ten years from when they contract with Biochain.

Biochain: We will take the remaining 10% of the gross revenues generated by the primary and secondary sales of the Bioworks, to cover project costs, including the cost of technology, marketing, professional fees, administration, etc.
